‘Branded’ competing at Siirt Int’l Short Film Festival

Iranian short film ‘Branded’ has been taking part in the Siirt International Short Film Festival in Turkey.

The Iranian Youth Cinema Society reported that ‘Branded’, directed by Fatemeh Mohammadi, is competing at the 2021 edition of the Turkish event.

Written by Amir Roueeni, the film is about Hafiz, who decides to cross the Afghan border in order to save the life of a woman and her child.

The short film has taken part in several international festivals across the world, including the Salento International Film Festival (SIFF 2021- Bisceglie) in Italy, the Festival of Nations in Austria, the Short Shorts Film Festival in Japan, and the Jogja-NETPAC Asian Film Festival in Indonesia.

In August, the film was honored at the Fresco International Festival of Modern Art and Spiritual Films in Armenia.

The Siirt International Short Film Festival opened on October 4 and will run until Friday.
